BMRA Training

Training & skills

As part of the metals supply chain, BMRA works with MetSkill to address long term skill needs for the sector, such as education-industry links, apprenticeships, teamwork and management development, and qualifications.
• See : Metals Sector Skills and Performance Strategy 2005.

The most immediate training need in many companies is Health and Safety. BMRA has worked with MetSkill to develop the BMRA Health and Safety Passport training, competence assessment and certification that is relevant to every metals recycling yard operative. A complementary Health and Safety Passport Plus programme has been developed for managers and supervisors.
