The BMRA is an advocate of widening the appeal of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects in schools. We recognise the importance of engaging children at an early age to ensure they not only they themselves recycle at home but also to encourage them to consider a career in this fast-paced, hi-tech sector.

Metals & Me is the BMRA's schools and education portfolio. It was created to support the teaching of geography for 11-16 year olds. The project supports a number of curriculum and syllybus requirements and was developed to ecourage debate and broaden understanding of the key issues relating to Citizenship and Education for Sustainable Development. The materials are currently being revised and updated but we hope to make them available in due course. We hope that, once again, Metals & Me materials will appear on the Times Education Supplement teaching resources website.
