Offering members access to recruit and train staff

As with many technology and engineering based industries, the skilled work of metals recycling is often learnt on the job resulting in experience and knowledge established over many years. Finding employees to replace staff who leave or retire, and prevent a skills gap is a challenge to many employers. Finding the right person, either with experience or to train is key.

Offering members access to various resources to enable them to recruit and train staff is a key component of the BMRA's Education and Training Committee. Be it training through apprenticeships or a combination of onsite, online or in person, getting the right people at the start can be a challenge.

BMRA is delighted to announce that it is partnering with Siamo Recruitment.

Leading the metal recycling recruitment sector, Danielle (Dani) Bonnelykke, is a specialist recruiter within Siamo's engineering sector team, focusing on waste management recruitment.

Siamo will offer BMRA members a reduced fee on ALL recruitment. For permanent recruitment it will offer a 10% fee and for temporary staff a specific rate can be agreed.

You can contact Dani on 07792 626066 or via email [email protected] for further information.

Siamo is defined by its staff, both the core employees and carefully screened flexible and permanent workers. Historically, Siamo dealt with temporary industrial recruitment, however Dani is a specialist and can bring her expertise to meet your recruitment needs.

Since its establishment in 1984, it has grown into a national network of local branches, gaining ISO 9001 accreditation and recognition from the London Stock Exchange Group as one of its Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. It is a member of Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA) and the Association of Labour Providers (ALP), and work within the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code.
