Global publication names its top 100

BMRA President, Susie Burrage, along with other BMRA members, has been named in Recycling International's 'Top 100 of the most inspiring people and practices in recycling from around the world'.

Susie, who is MD of Recycled Products Limited as well as President of the European Metal Trade and Recycling branch for EuRIC and a BIR Ambassador, was named at number 45. She said: "‘I’m very proud that my contribution to the recycling industry has been recognised and I know my biggest source of inspiration and mentor, my late father, would be super proud.’

David Dodds, CEO of BMRA member, Sackers, was recognised at number 37. David, who has worked in the business for 42 years, said: “It was a real surprise to see my name on the list, especially for global recognition. We’re a local business but we’ve traded globally for many years. Having been acknowledged for this and how we’ve gone from strength to strength over the last few years is very humbling. We have always invested in new technology to adapt to the market needs and I will continue to look at further investments and new markets. If I look back from when I joined 42 years ago, the business has really changed and I’m proud of everyone who has been part of that journey”

Joining Susie and David was Murat Bayram of BMRA member EMR (number ten) and Surendra Patawari of BMRA international member, Gemini Corporation (number four).
