Trade Associations join together for inaugural event

Nine trade associations are now collaborating to develop The Recycling Event after British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA) pledged its support.

Taking place on 2 July 2019 at Ricoh Arena, Coventry, The Recycling Event is a major, cost-effective conference developed by trade associations with tickets costing just £85+vat to attend.

The event will have four conference theatres looking at different aspects of the recycling industry and its value chain, plus plenty of networking opportunities, including a free to attend pub quiz from 6pm.

BMRA public affairs and communications manager Antonia Grey said: “We are really pleased to be supporting The Recycling Event and working with eight other trade associations to develop really compelling and informative content and superb networking opportunities.

“With post-industrial and post-manufacturing recycling vitally important, we look forward to engaging with the wider supply chain, and BMRA members, to share knowledge at this conference.”

The full list of trade associations working on this event is:

  • The Recycling Association
  • Alupro
  • Confederation of Paper Industries
  • Resource Association
  • RECOUP
  • British Glass
  • Wood Recyclers Association
  • Incpen
  • British Metals Recycling Association.

More trade associations may also become involved in the coming weeks and months.

The Recycling Event is organised by these trade associations, with Hanicke Robins Sanderson taking care of the day-to-day operations.

A donation of £5 from every ticket sold will also be made to the conference charity partner WasteAid.

As well as cost-effective tickets, good value table top exhibition spaces and sponsorship packages are available.
