Seminar hosted by BP Collins LLP on 19 January 2021

With the ramifications of Brexit beginning to impact businesses, and the wider effects of COVID-19 still very much an on-going issue, many companies will have prioritised issues arising during the last trading year and some of those may have included dealings with the Environment Agency (EA).

Members may recall seminars previously run by law firm and service member B P Collins LLP’s regulatory and criminal lawyers.

On 19th January 2021, lawyers from B P Collins LLP, Simon Carroll and Jonothan Moss, plan to run a further series of three short talks for BMRA members focussing on the importance of regulatory compliance and dealings with the EA, avoiding prosecution, and the early steps members can take to reduce the chances of breaching a myriad of regulatory rules.

Subject to availability, B P Collins LLP will be joined by a third guest speaker: Dr David Dickerson, a Director of Environmental Pollution Management Limited, with over 40 years’ experience in environmental enforcement, consultancy and education. David has worked with many organisations establishing simple and effective Environmental Management Systems, and with those involved in litigation, David has acted as an expert witness in many environmental and criminal cases. He offers some key insights in both respects, with the mantra 'prevention is better than cure'.

The seminar will start at 10am – 12pm on the 19th January 2021. It is anticipated that the sessions will be run online, and although availability will depend on a minimum number of attendees, to allow effective participation we will limit delegate numbers to 25.
