10 and 11 September
Join the BMRA at the UK Metals Expo 2025 on 10 and 11 September for two days of insights, networking, and practical solutions at the NEC Birmingham.
UK Metals Expo 2025 is the must-attend event, bringing together the entire metals supply chain, government, and manufacturing community. As a BMRA member, you are at the heart of this industry transformation. This show is the place to make your voice heard, find new business, and help shape the sector’s future.
BMRA will be on Stand A24.
This year’s Sustainability & Circularity Theatre offers sessions tailor-made for recyclers, including panels on aluminium recycling investment, buy-back schemes for steel scrap, and building a resilient, closed-loop UK supply chain. These topics directly address your customers and your role in helping them meet net zero targets.
BMRA’s Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Antonia Grey will open the event in the Supply Chain, Trade & Policy Theatre with the State of the UK Metals Industry Report & Opening Remarks on Wednesday 10 September 2025 at 10:00 am - 10:50 am. This is a rare chance to hear and influence the wider policy narrative about recycling’s vital contribution to UK manufacturing strategy.
Antonia will also sit on the panel: Scrap Leakage vs Scrap Exports – Creating a Resilient UK Aluminium Recycling Ecosystem. The session will unpack the blurred lines between legitimate aluminium scrap exports and damaging leakage and ask what more the UK can do to strengthen circularity, retain critical feedstock, and grow low-carbon domestic recycling infrastructure. This takes place on Thursday 11 September 2025 at 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm.
You will also find BMRA members Bridgnorth Aluminium Limited (L55), CF Booth (E75), Countrywide Metals (J50), ELG Utica Alloys Ltd (A50), and ICD Europe Ltd (B62) exhibiting. It is the perfect opportunity to see new processing technologies, strengthen business relationships, and explore supply partnerships.
Importantly, major OEM customers will be there, including:
· Jaguar Land Rover (sustainability strategy, supply-chain expectations)
· Aston Martin Lagonda (circularity in automotive)
· Tata Steel UK (procurement, sustainability, and low-carbon strategy)
· JLR Global Procurement (smarter scrap buy-back schemes)
· Rolls-Royce (advanced manufacturing and defence opportunities)
· Leonardo (defence sector supply chain)
· Brompton Bicycle (design, lightweight materials, and circular production)
· Hydro Aluminium (innovation and aluminium recycling investment)
