On 27th September BMRA welcomed Phil Harrison from the The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre
(AMRC) Training Centre.

He oversaw a Fundamentals of Metallurgy training session held at BMRA HQ in Huntingdon, with 12 people in attendance.

This course is an overview of the essential properties of metals, how they are produced and where they are used. 

It provides a basic understanding of the relationships between structure, properties and processing of the most important industrial metals, as well as explaining the terminology and test methods associated with key properties.
