The British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA) is seeking new members to join its Committee dedicated to fires.
The Committee is there to provide strategic advice and guidance on environmental and legislative matters affecting the metals recycling industry. The Committee will also help the BMRA Secretariat to assess and provide guidance on all relevant fire issues such as:
- Root causes of fire in the sector
- Prevention and detection methods, including seeking out innovative solutions
- Identifying appropriate training offerings
- Sharing best practice.
Convening around three times a year, the Fires Committee operates under the direction of the BMRA Board through Antonia Grey, the BMRA’s Head of Policy and Public Affairs.
The Committee is currently only open to ordinary members and limited to one representative per company. If you are interested, and free to attend the next meeting which is likely to be in November, please send an email to [email protected].
