However, just as before, BMRA understands those working in the metal recycling remain key workers in an essential sector. Employees who are not able to work from home can travel to work as long as employers are providing a safe environment. 

Anyone who is either a resident in, or travelling to, Wales is bound by these rules. However, travelling to a workplace in Wales is a reasonable excuse to leave home, as is travelling to England for work purposes (where this is necessary.)

In terms of financial support, £150m will be put into Phase 3 of the Economic Resilience Fund to support those businesses directly affected by the fire break. In addition, every firm covered by small business rates relief will receive a £1,000 payment and there will also be additional discretionary grants and support for smaller firms that are struggling.
