The John Lawrie Group is an established group of international companies. The principal activities of the group are the processing and sale of scrap metals; the trading of new and reusable steel tubulars and equipment and the provision of services to the oil and gas, construction and utility industries. The Lerwick site is well situated to service the Island and the oil & gas decommissioning industry. It is close to Lerwick harbour from where processed scrap is shipped to steelmills for recycling.
