Due to a company structure reorganisation, we present a unique opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Business Development and Sourcing Executive to join our UK team based in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
Job Overview: As a key player in our team, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of our business by identifying new opportunities, building robust relationships, and fostering strategic partnerships. This role demands a high level of attention to detail, creativity, and proactive thinking.
Key duties/responsibilities:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, consistently acting in the best interests of the organisation.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with the leadership team and other departments.
- Promote and adhere to responsible Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices in the workplace.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging business opportunities and industry trends.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and monitor competitor activities.
- Develop and nurture both local and international supplier relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery aligned with company and supplier requirements.
- Support the reconciliation and maintenance of internal supplier administration and product sales.
- Proactively address general, financial, administrative, and site-related challenges.
- Develop and implement efficient working practices to maximize business efficiency.
- Uphold a high level of integrity, maintaining confidentiality on all company matters.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
- Execute currency trades and manage multi-currency supplier contracts.
- Execute hedge requests in a timely manner understand lease rates associated with each trade.
- Undertake any reasonable ad-hoc duties as required by the dynamic needs of the business.
Skills required:
- Experience in precious metal industry, metal recycling or a similar sector.
- Prior experience as a Commercial/Business Manager.
- Background in a sales environment prioritizing customer relationships.
- Strong dynamic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
