Overview of the company and role: 

We are a long established scrap metal merchant looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Experienced or Trainee Site Manager to join our team.

As a Trainee Manager you will gain experience across all aspects of our business which will include learning knowledge of all metals and yard duties, all office associated work including payment of customers, answering emails, scheduling collections.

Full on the job training will be provided with possible further advancement of outside training to secure the correct qualifications.

Applicants should have a positive outlook, be able to work within a team environment, and be able to communicate effectively with both staff members and customers.

Key duties/responsibilities:

• Overseeing yard duties, dealing with customers via telephone, in person and email.
• Vehicle scheduling
• Payment of customers via internal electronic system
• Be responsible for opening and shutting the yard

Skills required:

• Valid full driving licence
• Computer knowledge
• Some industry knowledge would be advantageous but not necessary
• Hard working with a good ‘can do’ attitude
• Have good man management skills
