September 2023

BMRA will be hosting a conference day for Young British Metals Recyclers in Huntingdon, provisionally taking place on Wednesday 20 September.

The conference – open to any BMRA employee under the age of 40 – will be your chance to hear from BMRA colleagues on the biggest policy issues affecting the metal recycling industry.

Gain insight into:

  • Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and hazardous waste classifications
  • Risks associated with lithium-ion batteries and how to combat them
  • Apprenticeship opportunities

The conference will also allow Young British Metals Recyclers an opportunity to expand their knowledge on net zero as well as on how to take advantage of social media for your company.

We’re currently looking to assess the number of attendees for this conference and whether we will need to book a conference hall.

With bigger numbers, we could attract guest speakers. Therefore, we would be very grateful if you could declare your interest in this conference.
