Friday 4 July 2025

BMRA is delighted to announce its Golf Day and Summer Dinner will take place at The Celtic Manor Resort, Coldra Woods, Newport, South Wales, NP18 1HQ on Friday 4 July 2025.
Please find a location map of the golf course.
As with previous years, BMRA will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on the same day. The invitation and agenda for this will follow in due course.
About the course
The first of the Resort’s courses to be built, Roman Road, opened in 1995 and was ranked ‘the top inland course in Wales’ by Golf Monthly Magazine.
This par 70 course overlooks the Severn Estuary with views across to Somerset and Devon. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, it is named after the old Via Julia Roman highway that ran through its fairways.
A venue for numerous European Tour and Senior Tour events, this challenging course features some long open fairways but also a number of twists and turns through trees and across streams.
Competitions on the day include nearest the pin and the longest drive, along with first, second and third place for the team event and overall individual highest score. There will also be a prize for last place! All prizes will be given out at the Summer Dinner in the evening.
The price for a team of four is £660 plus VAT which includes tea and coffee on arrival at the AGM, breakfast rolls after the AGM, exclusive use of the Roman Road course - 18 holes of golf (shotgun start), complimentary electric buggies with GPS, Scorecard Management via Golf Genius (managed by the Celtic Collection Golf Operations Team) and a three course dinner with a free drink at the evening reception.
