Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days a week)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: Dependant on Experience
Key duties/responsibilities:
- Manage a large portfolio of scrap & recycling merchants, being their point of contact
- Be an expert on B4B’s systems and be able to understand and resolve client issues
- Understand the underlying data behind the portfolio (Excel & data experience mandatory)
- Hit Net Revenue targets – understand the levers of success, propose and implement solutions to clients, drive through deals
- Weekly visits to different clients. This industry thrives on personal connections. It is envisaged the successful applicant will be on the road one / two days a week meeting clients, understanding their needs and discussing B4S’ products. There may be some out of hours industry events & travel.
- Manage relationships with industry partners who provide technology to our clients.
- Manage Ongoing Due Diligence with clients and support a compliance culture.
- Be a subject matter expert on a) the scrap industry b) the developments downstream (green steel / aluminium) c) current prices affecting the industry d) regulation & tariffs both in the UK & Internationally e) how B4S needs to adapt products to support our clients
- Support the Director of Account Management & Partnerships develop and refine the B4S offering and work with him to be an internal advocate for the product
Skills required:
Essential (Need to have)
- Account management experience with a demonstrable record of success
- Can-do personality, ability to get on with diverse groups of people, strong work ethic that is determined by getting the job done and not the clock
- Understanding & interest in the UK Scrap Market – the major players, the supply chain, the economics, the future of this strategic resource
- Previous payments experience – card / bank industry
- Willingness to learn, understand trends and be able to articulate and advocate these both to clients and internally within B4B
- Ability to travel to scrap yards located across the UK
- Be in the London office three days a week
Desirable (Nice to have)
- Bachelors degree
- Car / Driving licence
- Previous experience in the metals industry
- Experience of international markets
- Corporate experience of strategic planning, research, internal advocacy
