Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday-Friday (plus overtime, inc Weekends)

Overview of the company and role: 

Tele-handler / Forklift Truck operative required to work in our dynamic Stainless metal recycling site.

The purpose of the Tele-Handler/FLT role is to load/unload recycled stainless material  in a safe manner, in accordance with company procedure and to ensure that all material processed adheres to grade specification, and customers’ request.

Key duties/responsibilities:

• Accepting receipt of material from Suppliers
• Loading vehicles for Customers as directed by Production Manager
• Handling, sorting and processing of metal
• General yard operations & housekeeping duties
• Carry out daily visual safety checks on plant and equipment used
• Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times
• Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
• Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
• Foster and promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement within the organisation
• Attend any training courses required by the company
• Liaise between functions to ensure teamwork, consistency, coordination and best practice to eliminate losses from poor practices or communication and to expedite learning.

Skills required:

• Experienced in operating Tele-Handler and/or Fork-Lift Truck
• Proven track record of working within a team environment
• Proven ability to adhere to safety procedures whilst fulfilling daily duties
• Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
• Organisational skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills, willing to ask for assistance when needed
• 360 grab experience would be preferred but not essential
