Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday-Friday (plus overtime, inc Weekends)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and organised Weighbridge Operator to join our busy metal recycling operation.

This is a key front-line role ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing materials at our site.

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Recording of incoming and outgoing material
  • Administration and coordination of all weighbridge operations
  • Daily scheduling of transport
  • Liaison with Operations, Commercial and Admin departments
  • Daily reporting of incoming/outgoing tonnages to Management
  • Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times
  • Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
  • Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
  • Foster and promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement within the organisation
  • Attend any training courses required by the company
  • Liaise between functions to ensure teamwork, consistency, coordination and best practice to eliminate losses from poor practices or communication and to expedite learning.

Skills required:

  • Experience in a similar weighbridge, recycling, or logistics role is preferred
  • Excellent communication and keyboard skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Confident level of numeracy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven track record of working within a team environment
  • Proven ability to adhere to safety procedures whilst fulfilling daily duties
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Organisational skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills, willing to ask for assistance when needed
