Thomas Sloan of Unimetals was alerted to this unusual find.
Thomas said: "Talk about unusual finds in one of Unimetals yards today on my visit to our awesome team at our Bodmin site in Cornwall this beautiful 100 year old plus machine came in to be recycled. You will probably think what the hell is that for? Mark one of our long established employees has given insight and it’s a chaff cutter which basically you feed corn or bales of hay through it and a rolling blade cuts to size. Just a thought on the Health & Safety aspect, I believe it fails on many points in modern days but what a great historical farming machine in its day wouldn’t you say."
