The next application window for the Government’s Depot Charging Scheme is due to open on 28 October 2026.

The initial application window saw businesses able to part-fund (up to 70%) the cost of installing electric vehicle (EV) chargers and associated civil costs incurred up to a maximum grant of £1 million across all sites.  

Whilst the exact terms and grant rates for this second application window are yet to be confirmed, the BMRA encourages members to consider now whether they can take advantage of the scheme and to prepare their application. This scheme alongside current truck and van grants can offer significant cost savings to members looking to trial or switch to an electric fleet.
