On 27 February, BMRA submitted a formal proposal to the Environment Agency’s Deputy Director of Waste and Resources Regulation for a time-limited, sector-wide extension of RPS 314 beyond its expiry in March 2026. This request follows extensive discussions with the Environment Agency senior policy advisors, consultation with shredder operators in England, and is supported by recent BMRA survey data.
