Sent on behalf of HMRC:
UPDATE: HMRC has now extended the feedback period to 29 August 2025 to maximise the opportunity for companies to review the changes and share views.
HMRC hasn’t increased its fees for anti-money laundering supervision since 2019. It regularly reviews its fee structure and is committed to keeping fees as low as possible to minimise the impact on registered businesses like whilst putting the main fee burden onto non-compliant businesses.
It needs to make some changes to ensure it maintains its effectiveness as a supervisor, helping to protect you from money laundering and terrorist financing. HMRC’s supervision activity is funded by the fees received from registered businesses, and it only charges sufficient fees to cover its operating costs.
