BMRA is sad to announce the death of Tom Burrage, founder of Recycled Products Ltd.

Tom passed away peacefully on Sunday 12 November 2017 at the age of 75, following a stroke in 2008 and a subsequent long but brave battle with various heart & respiratory related conditions.

Tom started working in the scrap metal industry at the age of 8, shoveling swarf into sacks for his Dad. In the late 60s he formed his own sole trader business, Uxbridge Scrap Metal Company, based in Uxbridge, Middlesex originally, then during the 80s & 90s in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. In 2001, he founded Recycled Products Ltd with his daughter, Susie, trading in Ferrous and Non Ferrous metals, in Chesham, Buckinghamshire.

A service to celebrate Tom’s life will take place on Wednesday 22nd November at 1pm at Amersham Crematorium, Whielden Lane, Amersham, Buckinghamshire HP7 OND.
