As Rusty, BMRA’s sponsored Guide Dog reaches, 13 months old we have another update on his progress.
Audra, Rusty’s Puppy Raiser said happily that 'Rusty is a very affectionate and loving dog', and recently, they've been busy working hard and having fun practising all the skills he’s learned over the past year.
Audra regularly takes Rusty to the seaside, and she said that Rusty just loves going. As soon as he reaches the beach, he gets the 'zoomies' and races around with excitement. He first did this when he was only fifteen weeks old, and he's done it on most visits since. Audra said, 'it’s wonderful to see him so happy, bounding about on the sand'.
Rusty ‘s favourite thing is to be out and about — he loves going for walks to the shops, or just relaxing in the garden, and he's always on his best behaviour wherever he goes. Overall, Audra said that 'Rusty is an amazing dog, he’s confident, loving and can be very cheeky'. All going well, Rusty will move to training school in July. Audra is incredibly proud of Rusty, and she said that, 'the whole family is going to miss him — he’s been a joy to raise'.
