Guide Dogs have kindly sent another 'pupdate' on BMRA's sponsored pup in training, Rusty.

Rusty made Puppy Raiser Audra proud on his recent first train journey. They travelled to Leicester and Rusty handled the journey like a pro — from stepping over the gap to getting on and off the train to sitting patiently beneath the seat. 

Since our last pupdate, Rusty has become firm friends with Audra's pet labradoodle who is 10. They will sit together and sometimes have a little game of tug, but Chester draws the line at rough and tumble type games. Audra's friend's Scotties are happy to keep Rusty company in these more rumbunctious moments. 

Rusty has been working hard on his ability to stay calm and quiet in cafes and restaurants and, now, with the help of a good chew, can sit patiently. Rusty's still energetic, but is certainly becoming calmer and more affectionate as he matures. He's still young, but Rusty's potential to become a little life-changer in the not-too-distant future is already becoming clear.
