Includes digital waste tracking software

Hereford-based software company Merlinium has joined the BMRA as a service member, supporting metal recyclers with practical tools for digital waste tracking and day-to-day yard operations.

Developed through work within Wye Valley Group (metals and waste) and Hereford Quarries, Merlinium draws on direct experience of the yard, weighbridge and office. Its software is designed to reduce paperwork, avoid duplicate data entry and make records easier to manage.

Merlinium Connect supports waste reporting alongside existing systems. Lite helps yards move on from paper and spreadsheets, while Pro supports the wider operation.

Jason Howell, Co-founder and Director of Merlinium, said: “Joining the BMRA brings us closer to metal recyclers across the country. We understand the pressure of running a busy yard, and our aim is straightforward: help businesses spend less time chasing paperwork and more time running their operation.”

Dan Stanton, Co-founder and Tech Director of Merlinium, said: “We build around what happens at the weighbridge and in the yard. If a business already captures the information, our aim is to make that data work harder without asking staff to enter it again. The software needs to be simple for the people using it every day.”
