The UK metals sector continues to face significant challenges and opportunities, from energy costs and skills shortages to international competition, sustainability and the evolving regulatory landscape.

To ensure the industry's voice is heard, we are inviting businesses from across the UK metals supply chain to take part in the UK Metals Council State of the UK Metals Industry Survey 2026/27.

The survey findings will provide valuable insight into the current health of the sector and will form the basis of the UK Metals Council's annual industry report, which will be launched at UK Metals Expo on 4 November 2026.

Your input is essential. The stronger the response, the stronger the evidence we can provide to government, policymakers and stakeholders on behalf of the industry.
