Dry riser valves stolen in the Greenock area, 29 June and 10 July

Date: 29 June and 10 July 
Location: Multi-story building in the Greenock area
Items stolen: Dry riser valves. The complete valves have been taken, as well as the securing bolts.

Further information: These types of thefts present a severe danger to life not only to the residents but also to the fire service in the event of an incident and also the property in the event of a fire breaking out. 

Please be particularly vigilant in looking out for persons trying to sell the items.  If offered, please note the vehicle registration number and description of the prospective sellers and pass on the details to the contacts below. 

The first theft occurred on the 29 June with 4 riser outlets being stolen.

The second theft took place on the 10 July with a further 2 outlets being stolen. A further 5 valves had the bolts removed or loosened in preparation for removal at a later time.
