BMRA can announce that the Guide Dog it sponsored, Rusty, is now working hard with his Guide Dog Trainer.
In its most recent update, Guide Dogs informed us that Rusty, named by BMRA members, is learning new skills and putting those he learnt in the puppy raising stage of their journey into practice.
They have told us that it won’t be long now until they know what the next steps will be for Rusty and whatever that step may be, we can rest assured it will be the right one for him.
In 2024, the BMRA President’s Charity was Guide Dogs. For a person living with sight loss, a guide dog can make a huge difference to their life, giving them back so much more than just independence. BMRA members generously raised over £13,000, which enabled us to sponsor the training of and, with the help of members, name the puppy. Members chose Rusty.
